About the Author Depuis son plus jeune âge, Vincent Brugeas est passionné d'Histoire et de littérature sous toutes ses formes. Après une maîtrise en Histoire contemporaine, il décide cependant de rompre avec une vieille tradition familiale, où les enseignants sont nombreux : non, il ne sera pas professeur d'Histoire. Il préfère narrer et raconter plutôt qu'enseigner. En effet, depuis toujours, il écrit des nouvelles, des bouts de roman, mais sa rencontre, au lycée, avec Ronan Toulhoat, illustrateur prometteur, l'amène à écrire des scénarios de B.D. En 2008, Vincent devient bibliothécaire et gère notamment un catalogue de bandes dessinées en attendant de pouvoir publier son premier ouvrage. C'est chose faite deux ans plus tard : Vincent et Ronan publient aux éditions Akileos leur premier album, Block 109, une uchronie de 200 sur la Deuxième Guerre mondiale saluée tant par la critique que par les lecteurs. Désireux de développer la veine uchronique de leur univers, les deux compères réaliseront ensuite quatre albums dans l'univers de Block 109. Ils s'attaquent ensuite à une série d'anticipation, Chaos Team, et surtout au thriller médiéval avec Le Roy des Ribauds. En 2017, désormais uniquement scénariste, Vincent multiplie les collaborations diverses tout en continuant ses aventures graphiques avec Ronan, aux éditions Dargaud.Après des études scientifiques, un bac d'ingénieur en poche, Ronan Toulhoat décide de se mettre à son compte pour dessiner, une décision grandement aidée par la signature, en septembre 2008, d'un premier contrat avec les éditions Akileos : le premier album de Block 109, écrit par Vincent Brugeas, est paru en 2010. Toujours aux éditions Akileos et toujours avec Vincent Brugeas au scénario, Ronan se lance dans un thriller médiéval, Le Roy des Ribauds, dont le livre III parait en septembre 2017. En 2018, Ronan Toulhoat publie les deux premiers tomes de Ira Dei chez Dargaud, sur un scénario de son comparse Vincent Brugeas. Le tome 3 de la série est prévu pour septembre 2019. Ronan Toulhoat réalise aussi de nombreuses illustrations et couvertures pour d'autres maisons d'édition, des story-boards et du concept art pour le monde du cinéma et du jeu vidéo, et également des illustrations pour le monde du jeu de plateau (T.I.M.E Stories, éditeur Space Cowboys).
